Situated inside a family-friendly district of food and entertainment, the Treehouse Art Collective benefits from its central location and close proximity to the many sites along the Corpus Christi Bay. With an impressive array of one-of-a-kind artwork by local artists and artisans (paintings, pottery, jewelry, wall decor, photography, metal work, glass, wood, gourds, textiles and more) it’s no wonder so many visitors (and artists!) frequent this two-level showroom for its unique collection of art made right here in the south Texas coastal area. Housed in what used to be an old tire warehouse, a collective of local artists banded together a little over five years ago and now showcase over 26 local artists.
Pro tip: The affordable prices make it a great place to shop for unique gifts and artwork to take home wherever home may be. Don’t overlook the beautiful treehouse mural painted on the staircase by local artist, Sharon Hinojosa (don’t worry – you can walk on it!). Owned and operated by three local artists, the Treehouse Art Collective knows the local art scene. So be sure to ask them for the inside scoop on galleries, museums or for information about their art classes. Parking available, so feel free to bring your car.
